Kotoeri Help! Can no longer find the kanji for くる (to come)

Postby jimhemmingfield_499400 » May 18th, 2014 11:16 am

Hello,

I wonder if someone can help me with my kotoeri input on my Mac. When I type くる then kanji now appears as 來る and I can no longer select the modern kanji (来る). I think this happened as I was doing work on a pre-modern Japanese assignment. As you can imagine it is really annoying now to only have the old character. Can anyone advise on how I can replace 來る with 来る. I hope this makes sense! Many thanks.

Type kuru and press the spacebar twice: you'll get a list of kanji to choose from. After you've chosen 来る, that will become your new "favourite" conversion and from now on you'll only need to press the spacebar once to get it.

マイクルさん、ありがとう! This has fixed the problem, which is good as I didn't want to forever have to use the archaic reading for such a common word!
