Language Exchange sites.

Postby Song4Amy » June 5th, 2008 4:01 am

Hi Everyone,

I am new to JapanesePod101.com so forgive me any newbish stupidity  I have been studying japanese for around a year and a half and i know i have picked up alot of vocabulary. But without anyone to practice with, i am left feeling a bit like a english to japanese dictionary (granted a limited one :P ). I really think i need a real human to practice with, to build my confidence up with forming sentences and doing what languages are meant for, speaking to people.

I have searched for online japanese efriends, but all of the websites seem like more like dating sites, and i am happy with my partner thanks

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good site? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I used Japan Forum, which allows you to search for a friend learning your language who speaks Japanese. You can also search by age group, interests, sex, etc. It has 'this is not a dating site, please go to Site X if you are looking for dating' written all over the place; I think it's even written into the conditions, so you should be okay
