Recommended dictionary software

Postby BIGmog » December 16th, 2007 12:51 pm

Please suggest your favorite Japanese to English / English to Japanese dictionary software for the PC. I know there are many online options but I prefer to have an installed application. Currently I use JWPce but it's more of a word processor program. Features like being able to mark entries for a study list and importing new dictionaries are desired. I'm willing to pay a reasonable amount for good software. Thanks!

I like the Green Goddess (Kenkyusha's New Japanese-English Dictionary). You can get it in Epwing format and use it with a viewer. It has really fantastic example sentences too. The downside is that it's really, really expensive - if you're interested in it, I would try to find a way to get it on the cheap. Like, er, a library, or a friend. Yeah.
