Subject Test?

Hi, everyone.

My Japanese teacher was saying something to me about an SAT subject test on Japanese, as an alternative to JLPT. Does anyone know about this or have any experience with it?

I heard about it a while back, but never looked into it, because Japanese companies only really look at JLPT, and another business japanese cert, I cant remember the name of right now. Lots of companies have a JLPT minimum requirement before they consider sponsering your visa. (Except for english teaching where they dont care about Japanese skill)

I took the SAT II Japanese subject test back in 1995.

Only take it if you're trying to get into a college that requires the subject tests, otherwise there's really no point.

It won't even place you into a Japanese class, as each University has their own placement tests.
