You are right, every photo is a stereotype, i know that. But at least geishas are respectable workers, while I can't AT ALL respect a 'dumb carnival dancer'. Just saying...

But again, it's not the site's fault, each country with the stereotype it deserves. Now that I think about it, Brazil does NOT have a better (or GOOD) one to choose. Maaaybe soccer or capoeira... but sports and slaves don't look as good as a dancer girl, right?

I prefer the Portuguese photo to the Polish photo don't you? That woman doesn't look too happy at all to be there. :???:

And besides, even Japanese Pod follows the same pattern..we all know that Japan isn't all just about geishas, temples and Mt Fuji.

Too bad I couldn't get this kind of offer with my japanesepod subscription

Also, as a brazilian, I'm kind of uncomfortable with "samba" representing the portuguese language, there's so much GOOD stuff around here, why a "carnival girl"?

I guess that's how the world sees Brazil anyway... *sigh*

I'll check out the portuguese site anyway to help with what I can, it's a really tricky language
