順二:うん、まだ来ていない。
順二:ちょっとわからないことがあるんだけど。友達は正気なの?
順二:はい、はい、怒らないで。
順二:でも、なんで僕のポッドキャストで彼氏を探すの?やっぱりおかしい?
(順二は電話を耳から離す)
順二:はい、はい、わかった。うるさいな、ねえちゃん。見返りを待ってるよ。今度は高いからね。うん、ああ、来たかも。
順二:最後に一つ言っとくけど、
(順二が電話を切る)
(七瀬が入る)
七瀬:失礼します。
順二:(言葉なし、じっと見ている)
七瀬:初めまして。お姉さんの友達の川井家七瀬です。よろしくお願いします。
順二:(言葉なし)
七瀬:大丈夫ですか。
順二:ああ、すみません。大丈夫です。初めまして。山坂順二です。よろしくお願いします。
七瀬:よろしくお願いします。今日は一緒にポッドキャストに出てくれて、本当にありがとうございます。
順二:すみません。一つ聞いてもいいですか。
七瀬:いいよ。
順二:なんで七瀬さんみたいな美人がポッドキャストで彼氏を探してるんですか。本当に素敵で、きれいで、もしよかったら、私と
七瀬:もうやめてよ!男はいつもそうなの。私の外見ばかり見て、それで判断するの。
順二:ああ、そう、で、でも
七瀬:そういうわけで、私は声と心だけで人と出会いたいの。

順二:日本ニュースキャストです。そろそろ、始めましょう。
七瀬:うん。
順二:私が最初挨拶をしてから、七瀬さんを紹介します。どうですか。
七瀬:いいですよ。

順二:それでははじめましょう。おはよう東京!順二です。今日はまたすばらしいショーでございます。日本の新しい情報をお送りします。更に今日は特別ゲストが来ています。彼女は彼氏を募集しています。それでは皆さんに自己紹介をお願いします。
七瀬:初めまして。私は川井家七瀬です。24歳で、茨城県の出身です。現在、東京の中野に住んでいます。東京大学でロボット学校を専攻している三年生です。趣味は映画を見ることと料理を作ることで、暇な時は砂浜で散歩します。海外にも興味を持っています。砂浜で歩く時に、ずっと地平線を見つめるんです。まるで私の将来が呼んでいるみたいな気がするんです。まだ海外へは出たことがありませんが、どうしても行きたいです。北アメリカ、南アメリカ、アフリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア、オーストラリア、全て行きたいです。今日このポッドキャストに出ている理由は私の運命の人に巡り会いたいからです。今まで恋愛には全く運がありませんでした。ですから、今日ここにやってきました。素敵な出会いを待っています。同じの気持ちの人、ビデオメッセージをお願いします。運命の人がどこかにいるって信じています。

You are right. 「現在」is used to writing then「今」is used in conversion more. However 「現在」can be used in a conversion in business which means formal situation. That's why she may chose 現在 in her introduction part since it was her first time talking to listener in Podcast.

Hello,

I now have learned that 現在 means now, but I thought it was the word for now in written documents. Why is 現在 used in the podcast rather than 今.

Loved it. After listening to Yoshi and Chigusa for 3+ years on audio, it was amazing to see them as actual people! The dialog was 90% understandable to me even without subtitles. Looking forward to more!
