| Now, let’s look at the western style toilet in Japan. |
| 見てください。 (Mite kudasai.) |
| 見た目はみなさんが普段使っているお手洗いと同じようなかんじなんですけども、こういうボタンが付いていて、いろいろな機能が付いています。 (Mitame wa mina-san ga fudan tsukatte iru o-tearai to onaji yō na kanji nan desu kedo mo, kōiu botan ga tsuite ite, iroiro na kinō ga tsuite imasu.) |
| This kanji character means "stop" so this button is stopping button. |
| お尻 (oshiri) "bottom"; if you need a gentle wash, press here. |

| And you can change the water pressure here, and this is the place of nozzle. So 前 (mae) means "forward," and 後 (ushiro) means "backward." |
