HideHave you evern tried a Yukata before?
Hi Mr. Daryl K Tickles Jr.,
Thanks for the question!
I can tell you study each lesson very thoroughly. Great job! 👍
Ohashori or o-hashori, comes from the verb 'hashoru' which means to 'to tuck up.'
At 0:58, the pink cloth belt is visible. You don't want that to be seen. In order to hide it, Risa folds the upper part of Yukata neatly with straight line to her waist (1:00-1:01). This nicely folded part is called 'ohashori.' When wearing Kimono or Yukata, this part should show below the final decorative Obi.

Is a Yukata something that only Japanese people wear? Is it out of the ordinary for a foreigner to be wearing one (if they are in Japan) or is it okay?
Hi Kasper Jensen,
Thank you for your comment!
Yukata is a kind of casual kimono for summer.
Kimono is Japanese traditional clothes which were only clothes in the past, so of course both women and men wear it😄
Usually kimono for women looks gorgeous while men's one looks simple.

I have several questions for this:
Can both men and women wear a Yukata, or is it a gender-specific item? How about a Kimono?
What is the difference between a Yukata and a Kimono?
I've never worn one, mainly because they're not exactly sold in Denmark where I live, but they look pretty nice.
Hello Sofiya,
Thank you for posting.
The Transcription is added.
Please note, that at the moment we just have the Transcription added to the 1st five lessons.
The rest will be added later.
Thank you for understanding. Please keep checking the lessons.
Sincerely,
Lena

I used to see Yukata in the Japanese drama and anime and thinking aah that's beautiful I must get one! I had no idea that wearing it would a little bit hard
If I ever get one, I'll ask someone to help me wearing it
Thank you risa sensei for the lesson
