Hi, everyone! Welcome to Kanji Time!
Today, we are going to review N3 kanji.
Let’s go!
If you want to do the quiz first, please go to these times.
This kanji means “home, house, residence, own home, own family.”
The On-reading for this kanji is タク(taku) like in 自宅 (jitaku) which means “one's house.”
自宅に帰る。 (Jitaku ni kaeru.)
And 宅配便 (takuhaibin) which means “home delivery service.”
ピンポーン! (Pinpōn!)
宅急便でーす! (Takkyūbin dēsu!)
はい、こちらにサインをお願いします。 (Hai, kochira ni sain o onegai shimasu.)
ありがとうございまーす! (Arigatō gozaimāsu!)
This kanji means “guard, protect, defend, obey.”
The On-reading for this kanji is シュ, ス (shu, su) like in 留守 (rusu) which means “absence.”
The Kun-reading for this kanji is まも, も (mamo, mo) like in 約束を守る (yakusoku o mamoru) which means “to keep one's word.”
