Hi, everyone. Welcome to Kanji Time.
Today, we are going to review N1 Kanji. 頑張りましょう! (Ganbarimashō!) Let’s go!

This kanji means “mediocre”.
The on-reading for this kanji is ボン、ハン (bon, han) like in 平凡な (heibon na) which means “ordinary”. And 凡例 (hanrei) which means “explanatory note”.
This kanji means “villain, evil, disaster, bad luck”.
The on-reading for this kanji is キョウ (kyō) like in 凶悪な (kyōaku na). Meaning of these words are “atrocious, brutal”, and 吉凶 (kikkyō), meaning “one’s fortune”.
This kanji means “convex, beetle brow, uneven”.
The on-reading for this kanji is トツ (totsu) like in 凸レンズ (totsu renzu), meaning “convex lens”, and 凸型の (totsugata no) which means “convex”.
