Hi, everyone. Hi! Welcome to Kanji Time.
Today, we are going to learn N5 Kanji. Let’s go!
If you want to do the quiz first, please go to these times.
This kanji means “thousand”.
The on-reading for this kanji is セン (sen) as in 千切り (sengiri) which means “cutting into thin strips”. 千切り。(Sengiri.) キャベツの千切り。(Kyabetsu no sengiri.)
And the kun-reading for this kanji is ち (chi) as in 千代 (chiyo) which means “a thousand generations”.
This kanji means “before, in future, front”.
The on-reading for this kanji is セン (sen) as in 先月 (sengetsu) which means “last month”.
先月、今月、来月。(Sengetsu, kongetsu, raigetsu.)
And the kun-reading is さき (saki) like in つま先 (tsumasaki) which means “toes”.
つま先。(Tsumasaki.) 足の指の先。(Ashi no yubi no saki.) つま先。(Tsumasaki.)
This kanji means “before, front”.
The on-reading for this kanji is ゼン (zen) like in 前回 (zenkai) which means “last time”. 前回、今回、次回。(Zenkai, konkai, jikai.)

And the kun-reading is あし、た (ashi, ta) like in 足首 (ashikubi) which means “ankle”.

The on-reading for this kanji is タ (ta) like in 多少 (tashō) which means “a little, a few”.
