I found a rule in creating Conjugation: Dictionary Form โ masu form โ informal negative form. Change the last syllable of the word to the one that precedes it in the hiragana chart (NU to NI, MU to MI etc.) and add "masu", in the negative form repeat the operation, only add "nai" (of course I might be wrong but that's the conclusion I made based on this table). Example: kaKU (before KU we have KI so change KU to KI and add MASU) --> kaKImasu (and once again before KI we have KA, so drop KI add NAI) --> kaKAnai.
maTSU --> maCHImasu --> maTAnai. oyoGU --> oyoGImasu --> oyoGAnai. Etc.

I've been to Nikko, definitely worth the visit, especially getting a bus up to the Senjogahara uplands and a visit to the natural onsen there, although you come back smelling of sulphur!
Hi Huimin,
Thanks for asking a great question!
It's not a typo. As the lesson notes is correct.
ๆฅฝใใ+ใงใใ
the past tense of the above is ๆฅฝใใใฃใ+ใงใใ
ๆฅฝใใ+ใงใใ is grammatically incorrect.

In the lesson notes for na adjectives, please advise if there was a typo error for formal past form when adding โใงใใโ.
Hi Nazmi,
Thanks for the question. If you are a host, you don't have to say "Gochisล-sama deshita." If people say it to you, then you should say "Arigatล."
Sincerely,

What if I am the host at the table during eating. Do I even have to say gochisousamadeshita?
