Okay, now it's your turn.
Do you remember what the joke was? “Why is the math book sad? Because it has so many problems.”
すうがくのほんはどうしてかなしそう? もんだいがおおいからだよ。 (Sūgaku no hon wa dōshite kanashisō? Mondai ga ōi kara da yo.)
Imagine you think it was awesome. Do you remember how to say "awesome?"
すばらしい, すばらしい (subarashii, subarashii)
Say “You're so awesome.”
ほんとうにすばらしいね。 (Hontō ni subarashii ne.)
Now react to the joke saying the other person is awesome.
すうがくのほんはどうしてかなしそう? もんだいがおおいからだよ。 (Sūgaku no hon wa dōshite kanashisō? Mondai ga ōi kara da yo.)
ほんとうにすばらしいね。 (Hontō ni subarashii ne.)
Now imagine you think it was boring. Do you remember how to say “boring?”
つまらない, つまらない (tsumaranai, tsumaranai)
Say “You're so boring.”
ほんとうにつまらないね。 (Hontō ni tsumaranai ne.)
Now react to the joke saying the other person is boring.
