皆さんこんにちは。 (Mina-san konnichiwa.) Hello, everyone! It’s Risa. Welcome to Japanese Top Words. Today’s theme is… top 10 tourist attractions in Japan. Let’s start it off!
1. 浅草雷門 (Asakusa Kaminarimon) “Asakusa Kaminari-mon”
浅草雷門に行ったことがありますか? (Asakusa Kaminari-mon) “Have you ever been to Asakusa Kaminari-mon?”
So in Asakusa, I wear a kimono and did a Pokemon GO! So please check it out!
2. 清水寺 (Kiyomizudera) “Kiyomizu-dera Temple”
清水寺の景色は最高です。 (Kiyomizu-dera Temple) “The view from Kiyomizu-dera Temple is so great.”
修学旅行の時に清水寺行ったんですけど、(Shūgaku ryoko no toki ni Kiyomizu-dera ittan desu kedo.) “I went to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple for a school trip.”
その清水寺のところに音羽の滝っていう滝があって、(sono Kiyomizu-dera no tokoro ni Otowa no taki tte iu taki ga atte,) “At the temple are the Otowa Falls”
で、え~と、学問上達の水、 (de, ēto gakumon jōtasu no mizu,) “which have, well… water of success in study,”
恋愛成就の水、あと… (ren’ai jōju no mizu, ato…) “water of success in love and”
延命長寿の水っていう(enmei chōju no mizu tte iu) “water of longevity,”
三種類のお水があって、そこの、(san-shurui no o-mizu ga atte, soko no,) “three kinds of water.”
私は恋愛のお水を飲みました。(watashi wa ren’ai no o-mizu o nomimashita.) “Then I had water of love.”
だけどそのあと何も起こらなかった。(Dakedo sono ato nani mo okoranakatta.) “But nothing happened after that.”
なぜだ?(Nazeda?) “Why?”
3. 皇居 (Kōkyo) “Tokyo Imperial Palace”
皇居はとっても広いんですよ。 (Tokyo Imperial Palace) “Tokyo Imperial Palace is so spacious.”
いつも夜とか朝になると、 (Itsumo yoru toka asa ni naru to,) “Every morning and night”
たくさんのランナーが皇居の周りを走ってます。(takusan no rannā ga Kōkyo no mawari o hashittemasu.) “many runners run around the palace.”
4. 金閣寺 (Kinkakuji) “Kinkaku-ji”
金閣寺は1397年に建てられました。 (Kinkaku-ji wa sen-san-byaku-kyū-jū-nana-nen ni tateraremashita.)
“Kinkaku-ji was built in 1397.”
5. 平和記念公園 (Heiwa kinenkōen) “Peace Memorial Park”
平和記念公園は広島にあります。 (Heiwakinen Kōen wa Hiroshima ni arimasu) “The Peace Memorial Park is in Hiroshima.”
6. 祇園 (Gion) “Gion”
祇園祭にいきましょう。 (Gion matsuri ni ikimashō) “Let's go to the Gion Festival.”
7. 白川郷 (Shirakawagō) “Shirakawa-go”
白川郷は岐阜にあります。(Shirakawagō wa Gifu ni arimasu) “Shirakawa-go is in the Gifu prefecture.”
白川郷はとても有名です。 (Shirakawag-ō wa totemo yūmei desu.) “Shirakawa-go is very famous.”
8. 東大寺 (Tōdaiji) “Todai-ji Temple”
東大寺は世界遺産の一つです。 (Tōdai-ji wa sekaiisan no hito-tsu desu.) “Todai-ji Temple is a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.”
東大寺は奈良にあります。(Tōdai-ji wa Nara ni arimasu.) “Tōdai-ji Temple is in Nara prefecture.”
その東大寺の中には、大きな大仏様がいます。
(Sono tōdai-ji no naka ni wa, ōkina daibutsu-sama ga imasu.)
“There is Big Buddha in the temple.”
9. 日光東照宮 (Nikkōtōshōgū) “Nikko Toshogu”
日光東照宮に徳川家康のお墓があります。 (Nikkō Tōshōgū ni Tokugawa leyasu no o-haka ga arimasu) “The grave of Ieyasu Tokugawa is in Nikko Toshogu.”
10. 厳島神社 (Itsukushima jinja) “Itsukushima Shrine”
厳島神社も世界遺産の一つです。 (Itsukushima Jinja mo sekalisan no hito-tsu desu) “Itsukushima Shrine is also one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.”
厳島神社は世界で唯一、海に浮かぶ神社です。
(Itsukushima Jinjā wa sekai de yuiitsu, umi ni ukabu jinja desu.) “Itsukushima Shrine is the only shrine in the world that is located on the ocean.”
赤い鳥居が、海の上に浮いてるように見えるのがとても幻想的ですよ。
(Akai torri ga, umi no ue ni uiteru yōni mieru no ga totemo gensō-teki desu yo.)
“Its red torri gate looks as if it floats on the ocean and that’s very fantastical.”
