Carla Curryさん、
Thanks for sharing! We’re glad you enjoy studying Japanese here. Arabic and Persian both sound like wonderful next steps given your interests in people, architecture, music, and literature. You might try a few sample Arabic lessons on the site to see how you like the script and sounds, and download the PDF cheat sheet on the lesson page if it helps with study planning. Take your time deciding-following what excites you is a good guide.

Thanks for sharing! Wanting to read the Bible in one of its original languages is a wonderful motivation-seeing how phrases were written by Moses, David, and others can bring a lot of historical and literary depth. Norwegian, as my Great-Grandmother was from Norway. Swedish next as that's where my Great Grandfather was from.
I really enjoy studying Japanese on this site, but I'm also interested in Arabic - the people, architecture, music, writing, literature are all so beautiful. So I'd like to try Arabic next, and then if I ever had the time, Persian.
If I could learn another language, besides Japanese, it’d be Hebrew. Because I am an avid student of the Bible, I have always been keenly interested in reading it in ine of its original languages. I’d like to see what some if the original phrases were that were written long ago by writers like Moses, David, Samuel, and others. If I am moved by some of the historical facts they recorded, I can only imagine how much more interesting those same passages must be in their original tongues.
I would want to learn Korean as well! I watch a lot of Korean shows and would love to understand what is said.
