I've heard that there is a website which allows your to select your Kanji level (according to the Japanese school grades) and then "translates" Japanese sites to that level, so it only shows you the Kanji that you're supposed to know, and the rest as Kana. Seems like a good way to start practicing and gaining on vocabulary as I'm advancing in my Kanji learning. Have you heard of it? I couldn't find it...
