Exposure to native speakers and many different kinds of voices and speaking styles…

According to the Japan Foundation, over 70% of Japanese teachers outside Japan are non-native speakers. We fill a major need by providing Japanese spoken by native speakers. In fact, to date we have used over 10 speakers, including a 9-year old, to provide our listeners with the most exposure possible to various speaking styles and voices. This can be compared to the one or two Japanese professors that many students will be exposed to at a University. In addition, we often provide conversations between three people to more closely simulate real-life situations.

Fresh, up-to-date content…

Many Japanese teachers who live overseas have been out of the country for a long period of time and can be “out of the loop” on current words, culture, etc. This is another major gap that we fill. Lessons are carefully crafted to include current events, words, celebrities, and so-on. For example, when the Japanese baseball team made it to the finals of the World Baseball Classic, we were able to do a lesson about this on the very same day. Before the Olympics we had a lesson introducing the big name Japanese stars. And of course, we’ll be doing the same for the upcoming World Cup in Germany. In certain cases, the time from when a lesson is first penned until it is produced can sometimes be just a few hours! This is very dynamic content.

Borderless education on-demand…

We also fill a definite demand in remote locations. In just a short time, we have received over 200 emails from people who had the desire to study Japanese, but due to the proximity of their living location and the nearest Japanese Education Institution they were unable to persue their dream. Our lessons provide them with a mobile classroom, as we bring them Japan on Demand. Japanese lessons wherever you may be.
