Welcome to Three Step Japanese Practice by JapanesePod101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to describe something using two adjectives.
Let’s look at the main dialogue.
Two people are having a conversation.
このおべんとうは 安くて おいしいですよ。
Kono o-bentō wa yasukute oishii desu yo.
"This bento is cheap and delicious."
そうそう、このおべんとうは、ヘルシーでおいしいですよね。
Sō sō, kono o-bentō wa herushī de oishii desu yo ne.
"That’s right, this bento is healthy and tasty."
Both characters describe something using two adjectives. This character
Says 安くて (yasukute). She says KUTE because the adjective being modified is an i-adjective.
Then, the next character
Says ヘルシーで (herushī de). She says DE because the adjective being modified is a na-adjective.
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson.
