Do you know how to describe something using two adjectives in Japanese? |
Welcome to Three Step Japanese Practice by JapanesePod101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to describe something using two adjectives. |
Let’s look at the main dialogue. |
Two people are having a conversation. |
このおべんとうは 安くて おいしいですよ。 |
Kono o-bentō wa yasukute oishii desu yo. |
"This bento is cheap and delicious." |
そうそう、このおべんとうは、ヘルシーでおいしいですよね。 |
Sō sō, kono o-bentō wa herushī de oishii desu yo ne. |
"That’s right, this bento is healthy and tasty." |
Both characters describe something using two adjectives. This character |
Says 安くて (yasukute). She says KUTE because the adjective being modified is an i-adjective. |
Then, the next character |
Says ヘルシーで (herushī de). She says DE because the adjective being modified is a na-adjective. |
Let’s practice with this grammar more in this lesson. |
