We'll warn you - this is a very long news segment! But we hope you enjoy this REAL behind-the-scenes look at JapanesePod101.com. Whether you are a long-time listener or have just started listening... we think you'll really enjoy this in-depth look at JPOD (old and new!) hosted by Peter, Naomi, and Jessi! :dogeza:
P.S. Don't miss the bonus track for a special question ;)

This was so cool! Thanks so much for uploading this. Even though I've only been a member for 2 years or so, my Japanese still grew in leaps and bounds after I joined JapanesePod101. I've been to Japan three times. The first time I could barely read katakana. The second time I could read about 200 kanji, but couldn't converse with anyone unless they knew a little English. After that, I joined JPOD101 and the third time I came everyone was so blown away by how much I had improved. I felt so happy!! And I could talk to people who didn't know English! So thanks so much for presenting Japanese in such a convenient and compact system. :)

Oh man, I have been going through the intermediate lessons and culture classes chronologically, and I have only just begun 2007. Yoshi is no longer there? Say it's not so๏ผ ้ ทใใญ. ใ
Thank you for the (overdue) behind the scenes lessons. I joined JP101 a few months after it started. I think the lessons now are much tighter and more focused than in the beginning. But the one element that has remained constant is your enthusiasm and humor that comes through the lessons. Never lose that quality! I agree that we the listeners take all of the behind-the-scenes activity for granted. Thank you to all of the unsung lesson preparers and audio editors.
Every time I travel to Japan I feel more comfortable speaking Japanese because of your efforts. When I started I was too embarrassed to even try!

I was great getting a behind the scene "view".
I discovered Japanesepod 101 a few months after the podcasts began. At that time I downloaded and listened to the backlog of all the lessons I had missed -- so I confident that I have listened to every lesson published. So I really got a kick out of this.
I am going to use a quote Naomi-sensei uses pretty regularly for my question "Peter, I have a question, when is the last time you posted a comment? It is fast and easy to do." (Just kidding, I know you are busy --- by the way, happy birthday)
It would be great if some of the people still at Erklaren would stop by again sometime.
Thanks for a great "lesson"
