Eric: Must-Know Japanese Social Media Phrases Season 1. Lesson 6 - An Unfortunate Accident.
Eric: Hi everyone, I'm Eric.
Risa: And I'm Risa.
Eric: In this lesson, you'll learn how to post and leave comments in Japanese about an accident. 葉月 (Hazuki) accidentally breaks her mobile phone, posts an image of it, and leaves this comment:
Risa: ついにやってしまった。。 (Tsui ni yatte shimatta... )
Eric: Meaning - "I finally did it..." Listen to a reading of the post and the comments that follow.

愛美: えー!これはショック。 (Ē! Kore wa shokku.)
大和: この前も壊したばかりなのに!? (Kono mae mo kowashita bakari nano ni!?)
紀夫: まさか会社のものではないよな・・・? (Masaka kaisha no mono de wa nai desu yona...?)

Eric: Let's break this down. First is an expression meaning "Finally."
Risa: ついに (Tsuini )
Eric: Japanese people use this word when something that they expected would happen someday has finally happened. Listen again- "Finally" is...

Eric: Then comes the phrase - "I did it."
