Hi, everyone!
Welcome to Kanji Time!
Today, we are going to learn N3 Kanji.
N3 レベルの漢字を勉強したいと思います。 (Enu san reberu no kanji o benkyō shitai to omoimasu.)
さあ、参りましょう。 (Sā, mairimashō.)

This kanji means “increase, add, promote, gain.”
The On-reading for this kanji is ゾウ (zō) like in 増加する (zōka suru) which means “to increase.”
人口が増加する。 (Jinkō ga zōka suru.) “increasing population”
And the Kun-reading is ま, ふ (ma, fu) like in 増やす (fuyasu) which means “to make something increase,” to make something increase.
ガチャポンのコレクションを増やす。 (Gachapon no korekushon o fuyasu.) “to increase my gachapon collection”
ポン!ガチャガチャ!ポン!ガチャガチャ!ポン! (Pon! Gachagacha! Pon! Gachagacha! Pon!)
I have tons of collection of gachapon now, haha.
This kanji means “unusual, change, strange.”
The On-reading for this kanji is ヘン (hen) like in 変更する (henkō suru) which means “to change.”
So, 「変更する」というのは、決められた物事を変えるということです。 (Henkō suru to iu no wa, kimerareta monogoto o kaeru to iu koto desu.)
例えば、計画を変更する。 (Tatoeba, keikaku o henkō suru.) “to change the plan”
日付を変更する。 (Hizuke o henkō suru.) “to change the date”
人には、人には使いません。 (Hito ni wa, hito ni wa tsukaimasen.)
“You changed a lot.”
If you want to say, “You changed a lot,” you can just say 変わったね! (Kawatta ne!) “you changed.”
The Kun-reading is か (ka) like in 気が変わる (ki ga kawaru) which means “to change one's mind.”
んー、アメリカに行きたいと思ってたけど、気が変わってオーストラリアへ行くことにしました。 (N, Amerika ni ikitai to omotte ta kedo, ki ga kawatte Ōsutoraria e iku koto ni shimashita.)
“I wanted to go to America, but I changed my mind and I’m going to Australia.”
This kanji means “dream, vision, illusion.”
The On-reading for this kanji is ム (mu) like in 夢中 (muchū) which means “being enthusiastic, engrossed.”
映画に夢中になる。 (Eiga ni muchū ni naru.)
And the Kun-reading is ゆめ (yume) like in 夢を描く (yume o egaku) which means “to dream of.”
This kanji means “man, husband.”
The On-reading for this kanji is フ, フウ (fu, fū) like in 大丈夫 (daijōbu) which means “all right.”
大丈夫だよ。 (Daijōbu da yo.) “It’s gonna be alright.”
全て... (Subete...) “Everything is gonna be alright.”

And the Kun-reading for this kanji is おっと (otto) like in 夫 (otto) which means “(one's) husband.”
妻と夫。 (Tsuma to otto.) “wife and husband”

This kanji means “lose, error, fault, vanish.”
The On-reading for this kanji is シツ (shitsu) like in 失敗 (shippai) which means “failure or mistake.”
よし、皆の前でスピーチだ。 (Yoshi, minna no mae de supīchi da.)
失敗しないで、上手く喋ろう。上手く喋ろう。 (Shippai shinaide, umaku shaberō. Umaku shaberō.)
「皆さん...」あ、マイクが! (’Mina-san…’ A, maiku ga!)
失敗した! (Shippai shita!)
And the Kun-reading is うしな (ushina) like in 失う (ushinau) which means “to lose.”
あれ、お水。お水どこかな? (Are, o-mizu. O-mizu doko ka na?)
お水を失う。 (O-mizu o ushinau.)
