Hi everyone. Welcome to Kanji time. Today, let’s review N3 kanji.
参りましょう。 (Mairimashō.)

This kanji means “example, custom, usage, precedent.” The on-reading is レイ (rei), as in 例年 (reinen) meaning “annual”. And the kun-reading for this kanji is たと (tato) as in 例えば (tatoeba), meaning “for example, for instance.”
This kanji means “submit, offer, serve, accompany.” The on-reading is キョウ、ク (kyō, ku) as in 供養 (kuyō) meaning to hold a memorial service. The kun-reading is そな、とも (sona, tomo) as in お供え物 (o-sonaemono) meaning offering to the gods, grave etc.
This kanji means “person in charge, duty, concern.” The On-reading for this kanji is ケイ (kei) as in 関係 (kankei) meaning connection or relation and the kun-reading is かか、かかり (kaka, kakari) as in 係員 (kakariin) meaning staff.
This kanji means “faith, truth, trust, letter, believe. “The on-reading for this kanji is シン (shin) as in 自信 (jishin), meaning “confidence.”
自信がある。 (Jishin ga aru.) “I have confidence.”
And 信じる (shinjiru), “to trust” or “to believe.”
あなたのことを信じています。 (Anata no koto o shinjite imasu.) “I believe in you.”
あなたのことを信じてるよ。 (Anata no koto o shinjite ru yo.) “I believe in you.”
This kanji means “fall, collapse, drop, breakdown.” The on-reading is トウ (tō), as in 面倒な (mendō na) meaning “troublesome, bothersome.” The kun-reading for this kanji is たお (tao) like 倒す (taosu), meaning “defeat, destroy, knock something down.”
