Hi G,

Thank you very much for studying with us and leaving a comment.

I see your point, but using just "mix" also makes sense here.

Sincerely,

6 of 10 of the slide show...

"mix up" would be better than just mix.

Not sure what to do with this - I have just started! I do not know any of the vocab or the sentence structure involved - is it purely to test how much I can assess is being said by visual? Or is it to just get me used to hearing Japanese with pictures and seeing what I can comprehend.

Should I still do this exercise as it is to help you assess my listening and visual context clue skills?

Baking a cake is a long way from what I would be talking about at this stage.

I am happy to give it a go if this is how it is best to learn - it just seemed so far ahead of where I am at - just learning to say Hi!

At this stage I am wanting to learn conversation Japanese only - like children do. Then when I am confident in talking like a 4year old is, I intend to start learning the kanji.

I am grateful for your help in getting my oral skills up to par.

Cheers

Daryl

I'm surprised that within the first dialog 'Baking a Cake' for absolute beginner there several difficult words written in kanji.

I'm just becoming familiar with the way the lessons are presented and hope to understand it all.

I wonder where JP101 expects an "absolute beginner" to have learned the verb "mazeru". Or the word "komugiko", for that matter.
