Hi, everyone.
In this lesson, you'll practice talking about your likes and dislikes.
You'll be challenged to talk about likes and dislikes.
First, let's look at some examples.
中村さん、 (Nakamura-san,)
魚が好きですか。(Sakana ga suki desu ka?)
はい、好きです。(Hai, suki desu.)
肉は好きですか。(Niku wa suki desu ka?)
いいえ、好きじゃないです。(Iie, suki ja nai desu.)
野菜が好きです。(Yasai ga suki desu.)
To ask if someone likes something, say the item followed by- ...が好きですか。(...ga suki desu ka?)
To say you like it, say- はい、好きです。(Hai, suki desu.)
To say you don't like it, say- いいえ、好きじゃないです。(Iie, suki ja nai desu.)
Or- 嫌いです。(Kirai desu.)
Listen to a few more examples.
健さん、チョコレートが好きですか。(Ken-san, chokorēto ga suki desu ka?)
はい、好きです。(Hai, suki desu.)
恵さん、コーヒーが好きですか。(Megumi-san, kōhī ga suki desu ka?)
いいえ、嫌いです。(Iie, kirai desu.)
Let's practice.
You are talking to Ken.
Ask him, "Do you like chocolate?" はい、 (Hai,)
好きです。(suki desu.)
Now ask Megumi, "Do you like coffee?" いいえ、嫌いです。(Iie, kirai desu.)
