One of the two Japanese cities which experienced the atomic bomb during the Second World War. The memorial day of this event is the 6th of August. This city and Nagasaki are the only cities in the world that have actually experienced the atomic bomb, and as such they are trying to put across the reality of the event to the rest of the world, with the eventual aim of the eradication of nuclear weapons and nuclear power. -
