Hello everyone. I was also wondering what my name is in Japanese. My full name is Juan Zuluaga. I also use my middle name, Esteban, from time to time so it would be real nice if you guys could show how to use my middle name in Japanese, too.

Thanks again everyone.

Watashino namae wa Leopoldo Pagotto. What about in Nihongo? I came out with two possibilities. Which one sounds better?

Hi, I think I figured out my name in Japanese but would like to know if it is correct. My name is Joe Hamrick. This is the katakana I came up with: ジョー•ハムリック or would it be ジョー・ハムリク?

Assuming the emphasis is on the second syllable, I think Shanika would be シャニーカ which is sha-ni-i-ka.

Freeman would be フリーマン which is fu-ri-i-ma-n.

I'm no expert but I think I'd go for the second version. You could also consider ハームリク to make it sound more like the first syllable is being emphasised.

I think your full name would be ワアン・エステバン・ズルアガ.

Thanks Mason! I wish i'd thought of the long a for the first syllable of my last name. Yours definitely sounds the best! sugoi! arigatou gozaimasu!

My name is Rhiannon Johnson. My first name is pronounced re-an-un with a long e. Fairly simple but often misunderstood.

My oldest daughter has a couple of friends called Rhiannon, and based on the way they pronounce their names I think yours would be リーアンノン・ジョンソン。 That gives some extra weight to the double 'n' in the middle: it says ri-i-a-n-no-n jo-n-so-n. I'm not too sure about the surname, though: it might be better to go for ジョオンスン (jo-o-n-su-n) to emphasise the first syllable and de-voice the last one.

> Christy: クリスティー (kurisutii)

> Aliyah Nicole Daniels: アリヤ・二コール・ダニエルズ (ariya nikooru danieruzu)

> Joana Pereira: ジョアナ・ペレイラ (jonana pereira) *is "Joana" pronounced with J sound like English? Or J sound like Spanish?

> Luciano Lowell Limpahan: ルチアーノ・ローウェル・リンパハン (ruchiaano rooweru rimpahan) *Is "Luciano" pronounced like Italian or like Spanish/Portuguese? I'm not too sure how to read "Limpahan" correctly. Is "rimpahan" (with "h" sound for "han") correct? Or is this "h" silent?

For further questions, please feel free to ask!! :D
