I've long been on the lookout for a good dictionary that would help clarify subtle (or significant) differences between similar words, e.g., 様々 and いろいろ, 絵本 and 図鑑, or 印鑑 and 判子. (Conversely, indicating when words are basically interchangeable would also be useful)
One can sort of read between the lines with the help of example sentences, but I would love to know if there's a dictionary (print, electronic, or online) that specializes in distinguishing words with similar meanings.
