Mina-san, did today’s dialog sound familiar?
Sunday at 1:13 am
Jpod,
Please do the learner Center quizzes in Romanji/English. I know you don’t do them for the Beginner lessons, but some of out here have all we can do without getting into the language characters as well.
This is Newbie. Please, Please, Please

Tachikawa-san,
You can change the quizzes to English, Kanji, Romaji or Hiragana! At the top of each quiz page, there is a sentence like this: You can change the difficulty level of these questions in My Settings.* If you click “My Settings” you get a choice of options!
I hope this helps you!

Konichiwa Minna-san!
私はCharityです。 いま、東京で英語を教えています。よろしくおねがいします。
In this lesson we learned “senko” (専攻)as major. How is this word different from “senmon” (専門)?
Tuesday at 4:28 pm
Both 専攻 and 専門 are used for major subjects, but 専門 can also be used for many other things, such as occupation, sports, and stores.
For example,
ice cream shoppe is 「アイスクリーム専門の店」

Kochirakoso yoroshikuonegaishimasu.
As Nori kindly mentioned above, 専攻Senkou is major subject whereas 専門Senmon means specialty so senmon has broader meaning than Senkou.

Domo arigato gozaimasu. Your help on getting the correct language for the quizzes is much appreciated. Leave it to me to miss the obvious at times.

I like what I see with these expansion questions. This will be a nice feature to force me and others to study each question more. Will this be on all new lessons, and older lessons as time permits?
