Mina-san, whew! What a series, huh? Next time you have to get an interpreter or translator, you have everything you need to get you through the business deal.

そうですね、ありがとうございま〜す。*bows* でも、jPodのおかげさまで、translatorはいらないじゃない?
Did we get a passive causative in the opening? “ピータにこさせられてしまいました。” Is that the passive-causative of “kuru”? I ask because 来る is one of those irregular verbs, and we got a lesson on the passive-causative yesterday.

I’ve been listening to the lessons, but I haven’t gone through any of the PDF’s yet. Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do

Those 4 Upper-Intermediate lessons have set a very high standard ! That’s the most challenging japanese I have yet seen in any teaching material. Please keep them coming !

I played this for my wife and she said she could never imagine a foreigner speaking like this. I hope I could reach this level some day. But I doubt I ever will. But thanks for the super-polite Japanese! You really challenged me this time!

Thank you for 4 very practical lessons in business Japanese. I look forward to seeing how these Upper-Intermediate lessons evolve. You’re all wonderful teachers and your personalities really shine through in your podcast. Your ad lib conversations add a personal touch that’s quite refreshing and make studying Japanese a much more pleasurable experience. Not only am I hooked on your program, as a curriculum coordinator I’m sold on this method of language acquisition and am actively promoting your sister podcast, Englishpod101.com to all of my students! Who would have thought that a few people with a fun idea could have such a profound effect on the science of language study? Congratulations!

素晴らしい敬語のレッセンです。とても役に立ちます。
ひとつの質問がありますが、会話の最後の「とほほ」はどんな時に使いますか?
Tuesday at 2:37 pm
Jenny-san,
ありがとうございます!
「とほほ」は、どうしたらよいか困ったときなどに使います。マンガなどで、困っている人の心の声として、使ったりします。
