What sort of nuance does 格好いい have when used about a woman? Good-looking is a nice compliment for both guys and girls, but I haven’t heard 格好いい used like that about women, I usually hear either きれい or かわいい, but then I do have limited exposure.

Max, I’d go with the extra two syllables and say 頭がよくて格好いい , rather than sound strange.

Sounds like a good idea, but I don’t really know enough about them to start it. I’d like to know how to convey ‘hot’ and ’sexy’ as well; they have a slightly different nuance to ‘good-looking’, ‘cute’, ‘pretty’, etc. It’d be interesting to know some of the more inappropriate expressions that guys use when they talk about women too, just to compare them to English
