Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! In today’s lesson, a father talks about his experience attending his child’s jugyōsankan (class observation day). We even have a furasshubakku (flashback scene) so we can all observe this lively bunch of kids in their math class. Our grammar point is a comparison of hoka ni and hoka no. After listening, stop by JapanesePod101.com and be sure to leave us a post!

Mina-san, what do you think about this class? Why do you think the teacher asked the same question so many times?
”先生:はじめにボールが3つ、ありました。あとで4つ、ふえました。ぜんぶでいくつになったかな?。。わかる人!”
hi!
悪いそだ
Well maths was never my strong point. Math’s teachers are sadists, always making sure everyone understands.. so I’d be the one hiding in the corner trying to look invisible. ![]()
難しかったです。酷いめ
thanks for another useful lesson
i think math is one of the most hated subjects in the world
when i was in school we hated the teacher more than math
but now i realized how hard it is for them to teach this subject to people who don’t want to learn it
If you take a ball and divide it up into 5 parts, then put them back together. How many balls will you end up?
Ans: 2

化け物!
In the nicest sense but you made my one brain cell melt!
何だ!2かどか分からないです ![]()
今夜後は私が悪夢がある。
Funny though how math is either something you love or hate, rarely in the middle.
Great link. Now my brain hurts so I’m going to use the Japanese baseball terms I learned recently @ 101pod, across the road at Rock Meisha. ![]()

JP101 crew/listeners!
I have to recognize that math is the most difficult subject on earth/universe. At first I hated when I was little but now I realize how beautiful this subject is and how is part of our everyday lifes so more respect to math and it’s teachers.
Great lesson JP101 keep it up! ![]()

ここだ!ファンの皆さん、安心してください。maxieは!やっと戻った。
私も授業参観と言う事良く分かります。僕は中国で英語の先生だから。
実は、ご両親は教室のうしろに立ちながら見て、本当の授業じゃない。
(Did that make sense? When parents stand at the back watching, it’s not a real class. It’s more like a show.)
Maxiewawa-san!
Welcome back we miss you specially me and thank you for your reply to all of us and for coming when Isaid your name at the above comment.

I’m a recent new listener… thanks for the wonderful work! I’ve been listening to this all weekend since I found it (by searching for ‘Japanese learning’ on iTunes). Now I’m only left with one question… why did it take me so long to discover something so wonderful (as Japanesepod101.com)?!
Looking forward to chatting more and getting to know everyone better. この素晴らしいポッドキャストを、本当にありがとうございます!これからよろしくお願いします。
☆☆ welcome aboard ☆☆
there’s something here for everyone, so be sure to have a look around the whole site

I am not familiar with this phrase:”Odoroi chatta yo.” what is the difference from びっくりした? how would one use odoroi in the odoruku form?
Another question I have is does the site have more practice examples to use for such things as grammer + vocab? I only saw one grammer quiz for this lesson, I was wondering if there were more. Perhaps it differs for paying customers(which I might do soon). Also is there any specific lesson that deals a lot with くれる?I have yet to master the infinite combinations that come with this verb but would love to. Thanx so much 4 the site!
