Mina-san, finding a place that’s not crowded at noon here in Tokyo is a real task. Do you have any suggestions for Tabuchi-san and Okada-san for next time?

I’m Fulvio and I’m writing from Italy, you’re great I’m learning Japanese from your site… doumo arigatou for your wonderful podcast.
So I was listening this lesson and you’re speaking about vongole, so just to inform you that vongole (clam) are usually calles “sea fruits” and they’re shellfish inside a shell, like the mussel (cozza).
Mussel is a little greater then clam and its shell colour is black; clam is more like a normal shell and the shell colour is brighter.
you can find more information about vongole here:

PS: they’re delicious

Great lesson again! And about food… I remember in the early lessons food was frequently mentioned and here it comes again.

It’s nice to have new voice actors, but we don’t want to be left without Peter-san, Natsuko-san and Sachiko-san… our present hosts!!!!

Hello Peter-san,
sorry for being late with my reply, but recently I can listen to the podcast only during weekends…
I must say that Fulvio-san has already given a perfect and comprehensive explanation to your question, so I cannot add anything to what he has already written.
As always, you are doing a great job, so がんばってください!

[…] It’s about Italian food! They mentioned Napolitan which I knew already from Buono’s song “Café Buono!“. However they brought up ボンゴレ (vongolle) and its ingredient 浅蜊 (asari, a clam) which I didn’t know. Also, they mentioned that the person’s name 田淵 (tabuchi) contains difficult kanji. Indeed difficult, but one I know :) . […]
