みなさん、こんにちは。美樹のブログです。 みなさんは野菜が好きですか?私は野菜が大好きです。 祖父が農家なので、いつも新鮮な野菜を持ってきてくれます♪祖父の作る野菜はどれもおいしいのですが、その中でも私は【冬瓜(とうがん)】という野菜が好きです。みなさんは冬瓜を知っていますか?メロンやスイカに似ていて、寿司のかんぴょうの原料であるユウガオと同じ仲間の野菜です。これを冷たい煮物にしたり、みそ汁に入れて食べるのが好きです。 でも一つ、前から疑問に思っていたことがあります。 【冬瓜】は【冬】の【瓜】と書くのに、祖父はいつも夏に冬瓜をくれることです。冬瓜は【冬】という字を書くのに、【夏】の野菜なのです! どうして夏なんだろう?どうして冬じゃないんだろう? このナゾを解くために調べてみました! 冬瓜は昔、夏に収穫して冷暗所につるし、春先まで保存していた野菜だったのです。冬まで食べられる瓜なので【冬瓜】という名前がついたということです! 漢字には意味が含まれていておもしろいですね! それでは、また来週!

Interesting! I don´t eat a lot of pumpkin and the likes but I have tried this before
It was served as a soup. The tougan was chopped in half and the skin was used to serve the soup in. Like a bowl!
Now, if only I could translate that into japanese
Must give it a shot.

わたしも野菜が大好きだから、今回のブログの話題は特に面白かったと思います!

野菜はおいしくて、健康な食べ物だから、毎日たくさん食べます。
色々な野菜が好きでも、「冬瓜」が知りまん。ちょっとインターネットで調べて写真を見つけましたが、そんな瓜はイタリアで見たことがありません…
わたしが住んでいる州の瓜は冬瓜と違います。果肉はオレンジ色で、形も違います。瓜は色々な料理に使うから、わたしの一番好きな野菜です!
