I love the way Natsuko-san and Sachiko-san help us with the conversations. Great team!!!
It’s just a pity Peter-san wasn’t around. Is he still with the girl from yesterday’s lesson??? What happened to them???

this is not a beginners lesson from robato
Wednesday at 2:12 am
it’s a beginner’s lesson #163!
miho先生、「あわてる」is interesting, can you give us an example?
can we only use this for sports?
Wednesday at 5:56 am
This lesson was amazing as usual but… It’s almost that I will stop listening to this if Peter isn’t with us. Furthermore I wonder why you stopped with “Ohayou [location]”… Is that so much to ask
Anyway, great lesson.

Good question! あわてるis not only for sports
It is actually common words for our daliy situation.
たとえば・・・(for example…)
1. サッカーの試合(しあい)で(In the soccor game…)
あわててボールをけると、ミスをします。
If you kick the ball in panick (without thinking much), you will make a mistake.
2. 生活(せいかつ)の中(なか)で…(In the daily life…)
In the morning…
みほ:あ~電車に遅れる~~!!!
おかあさん: あわてないで!気をつけて行(い)きなさい。
電車 でんしゃ densha : train
遅れる おくれる okureru : be late
気をつける kiwotsukeru : be careful
Miho: Oh no… Im gonna miss the bus!!!
Mum: Don’t be panick!(Don’t rush!). Be careful!
I hope this helps!
Have a nice day
Miho

Sorry… In the translation of the Miho’s line, I meant “train”… :p

Wow these beginner lessons are getting hard.
Sunday at 5:40 pm
I too found this extremely challenging … particularly the listening. Otherwise, I do enjoy your podcasts. Thanks

I’ve never heard of a soccer pitch either. Here in Australia we call it a soccer field.
Wednesday at 2:13 am
yeap i agree..dis time quite challenging~
勉強をなりました!
lotsz of new vovabs~
Wednesday at 1:22 pm
Sorry to get you surprised!

I think this lesson is just one of hardest lessons.
So, please don’t get disappointed!
Tuesday at 11:56 am
this is far harder than any of the previous lessons. by far it’s the hardest lesson yet. there are at least a dozen new words not included in the vocab list, and at least a few of those words require you to learn grammar points that show you how to employ them.
Wednesday at 5:30 pm
What is the difference between Jyoutai and Jyoukyou? The dictionary says it both means condition.
Thanks
Thursday at 1:40 pm
Jenchanted-san,
It’s a tough questin!
Jyoutai is the condition of something, and Jyoukyou is condition where something is. For example, when you say “he is sick”, “sick” would be “joutai.” When you say “he is so sick that he can’t eat anything,” that would be his “jyoukyou.” I hope that makes sense.
Thursday at 6:59 pm
I’m quite relieved to read that other beginners found it difficult and that’s too weak a word. I’ve played the dialogue over and over again and still have to stick to both the romaji and the English versions for most passages. Unknown vocab, lots of grammar points, most of them never studied before. If the point was to dampen learners, that was a hit.
Sorry for the negative comments but after three days spent on this -before reading the comments- i was thinking I was utterly hopeless.
Thursday at 12:23 am
Perhaps it’s just me, but I’m getting an error when trying to play this lesson… >_>
Wednesday at 10:44 am
Hoo, doggy! Y’all sure raised the bar on this one…
