Mina-san, What’s the first Japanese word that pops into your head when you think about poor Hanako? What’s the first Japanese word that pops into your head when you think about her grandfather?
Wednesday at 8:02 pm
Hanako= 可愛い
Grandad=知恵

What’s the first Japanese word that pops into your head when you think about poor Hanako? バカだよ. She should’ve asked for both.
What’s the first Japanese word that pops into your head when you think about her grandfather? 残念ね。 He should’ve taken away her teddy bear for not choosing smarter.

Bakaneko, thanks for the laugh.
Andy-san, very impressive 漢字!
Thursday at 3:11 pm
for the topic, i believe it should be spelled “choosing” not “chosing.”
おじいさんはちょっとひどいですけど、はなこちゃんが勉強になりました。

bakenekoさん、
i almost spit my tea on to the computer i laughed so hard. (大笑)
as for me, i chose:
for 花子ちゃん (hanako-chan)
かわいそう・poor thing
for おじいちゃん: (ojiichan)
ひどい・cruel (in this use)
Tuesday at 3:22 pm
こんにちわ
Why not just give both boxes to Hanako but a choice? Maybe the other one is for Hanako’s brother or sister.
I can tell that Hanako’d really rather want the small one,
althought game-boy isn’t really good for a child.

Peter. . . . you’re trying to confuse us???? ! !
You introduced this as lesson 15, it took me 15 minutes to find the right lesson/pdf.
You’re making me think too hard!
Tuesday at 5:52 am
I tried downloading this file a number of times and it always cuts off before the dialog even begins. Is anyone else having a problem with this file?
Tuesday at 9:38 am
Works fine for me!
Wednesday at 12:32 pm
“Hanako” turns into “Taro” when Peter is speaking. One minute he’s a boy, next a little girl! The .pdf for the lesson is very interesting, however I don’t remember the Grammar Point being discussed in the Lesson itself!
