Miki-san,
I am sorry that I can’t write to you in Japanese! Anyway, your Blog was very interesting today. I have been to Japan and I really love the Japanese bath. Even Western style hotels have deep bath tubs. I wish we had them in the U.S.
People in the U.S. rarely take baths. Most people take showers. I love to soak in the tub especially if my muscles are sore from exercise. When I soak, I don’t read — I listen to FM radio on my Walkman. I enjoy listening to music as I soak.
I never knew about people in Japan using the bath water for laundry. It’s a great idea. I don’t think it would be possible in the U.S. because my bathroom is on the second floor and my washer is in the basement! How do you transfer the water from your bath tub to your washer?
Tech Note: Line by line Audio in the Learning Center is a great idea, but it doesn’t show up on this Blog.
But, I really love the four styles of transcripts (kanji, kana, romaji, and English)

Lizさんへ
たぶんこのブログは日本語を読むためにあると思います。

横たわるお風呂も好きです。でも私の家には座るお風呂しかありません
日本にも泳ぐお風呂があります。それはプールに似ています。
