“iam kara’ I don’t understand the ‘kara.’
Couldn’t you just say:”Iam doko e ikimasu ka?”

avatar nanaka says:

Michael D. Cassidyさん:
“今からどこへ行きますか”, I think ‘から’ here is to specify from this point on/ from now on, where you are going? It is not being translated directly in the pdf, probably because it is understood by both speakers and listeners.

avatar Michael D. Cassidy says:

Thanks, nanaka san.
I guess what I’m wondering about is whether:

“iam doko e ikimasu ka” would be acceptable?? or sounds childish.

avatar John C. Briggs says:

Michaelさん,
I think you mean “ima” not “iam”.

whenever i hear about Nagoya, i think 名古屋コーチン (Nagoya kouchin). I don’t know what コーチン means though, but it’s supposed to be the chickens. from what I hear, they are famous for the meat and the eggs. they use these eggs on 新どっちの料理ショー, which still plays in california.
