Mina-san, have you experienced rush hour in Tokyo? This scenario is not unrealistic!

Not much different in NYC.
Happily because I’m male and old no one gropes me.

I don’t think the PDF is working. Is it just me?

It worked for me. Make sure you are logged into the site.

Great lesson  Just what I need. Still trying to get my head round the direct and indirect passive forms though. Considering the PDF example:

妻は逃げた。(past) The wife ran away
妻に逃げられた。(direct) I was ran away by my wife - obviously wrong
妻に逃げられた。(indirect) My wife up and ran away

One could say ‘My wife ran away from me’ which would probably be:
妻は私から逃げた。

So what’s the difference in meaning between 妻は私から逃げた and 妻に逃げられた?

Alan

avatar Alan says:

…maybe it’s just the emphasis of subject i.e. me or wife?

Everybody has a bad day in some moment, is a rule of the life
Speaking about rush hour, here in Cordoba Capital is a litle mad, but in Buenos Aires, especialy in Capital Federal is a real odyssey  Great lesson as always!
