Mina-san,

Today’s location is ヤウンデ・Yaunde - hello to all of our listeners in Yaounde, Cameroon!

Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!

avatar maxiewawa says:

We should have an iLove-esque video request. Everyone introduce someone on camera.

avatar Drusy says:

heheh the “speaking back” pause is abit awkward, I think. I prefer just listening and then practicing on my own. Then again, I’m only an absolute beginner and a total newbie here. I find this site absolutely amazing, and thanks for all the awesome podcasts! I’ve been listening to various beginner lessons for a few days so far and enjoying all of them :)

domo arigato gozaimasu!

avatar Nate says:

Take-san, welcome back. It seems like a long time since we have heard you on the podcast.

Always good to hear Yoshi-san (I love all of your voices Yoshi-san) and Natsuko-san (your voice is beautiful).

Have a great week.

おはよう、こちらはわたしのimaginaryともだちボブです。

avatar Peter says:

Maxiewawa-san, very nice suggestion. We’ll see if we can work something out! Although, no promises.

Drusy-san, thank you for the feedback. Your opinions mean a lot to us. We were also toying with the idea of a seperate track focused on speaking back. If the info was on a seperate track, would you like that better?

Nate-san, yeah, it’s been a while for Take, as he has been busy. But hopefully from here on out he should be appearing regularly.

Bakanekoさん、なかなかおもしろいです。ボブさん、初めまして。よろしくお願いいたします。

avatar Drusy says:

Peter-san, making separate tracks for speaking back or interaction is a great idea! That would make it flexible for different listener preferences too. You are too kind to us, thanks again :D

avatar Peter says:

Drusy-san, it is our pleasure! Thank you for the feedback! It is your feedback that allows us to improve!
Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
Thank you again!

avatar Daniel Beck says:

Interesting. Of late, よろしくお願いします is not being translated “please be nice to me” without the “as I will be to you.” I think this sounds much more natural.

avatar Peter says:

Daniel-san, you seem to get your way around here too often.

avatar Hugo says:

Is good to hear to Take-san again, great work as always!
The change in the web what now indicate the politeness level and function of the lessons is awesome! I think what is very useful.

avatar Daniel Beck says:

Peterさん、

I wonder why that is?

BTW, I think you all need to treat Takaseさん nicer!

avatar Daniel Beck says:

Ugh, I just realize I wrote “not being translated…without”. I meant “translated…without”. But, I take it you got my meaning.

avatar Charles says:

I think the talking back portion should have you do something like:

Take: “Arigato”
Peter (and all the listeners): “Arigato”

So that we repeat along with someone. That way we are prompted with what to say, then we immediately say it with one of the hosts.

Just my 2 cents! Thanks for the great podcasts!

avatar Alan says:

I think talk back for the new grammar point in each lesson is a good idea as it will help reinforce it. However whether I can actually talk back depends on where I am. At home or in the car is Ok. On the train or walking about town probably not. So perhaps one or two examples to reinforce the grammar point, but not too many, otherwise the lesson will be difficult to use on the train.

avatar John C. Briggs says:

In the PDF, there is “middel school” but should be “middle school”.
