THe great lessons never stop… let’s hope they don’t!
Peter-san, I am (planning) to take JLPT 3 this december, what did you think of my lesson idea?
Wednesday at 10:24 pm
Matthew-san, it’s a great idea. We’re thinking sometime next month. How does that sound?
Wednesday at 10:32 pm
Kind of first!

I thought (looking the dorama called “食いタン”) that the counter for sushi was “かん”, which means trad. 2 pieces per each “かん” but nowadays you have to ask if it is one or two.

Hanspeter-san, yes, you’re quite correct with かん・kan!
And, this is why we mentioned conveyer belt sushi -回転寿司・kaiten sushi - because they are served on plates, hence counting with the suffix -mai.
Wednesday at 11:18 pm
Peter-san, I’m glad you liked it!
I have some other ideas if you would like to hear them….
Thursday at 12:26 am
Good lesson, as usual. Was this the first time in a while that Peterさん participated in the dialogue?
Have a great day everyone!
Thursday at 4:55 am

Hello Mina-san, I was listening old lessons lately since I felt quite lost or hardness in these lessons. So I decided to go back to review old stuff to check myself.
But I had to say something, I couldn’t stop laughing!!!
Please check New #3…introducing Eran-san, our Tech guy! And.. Peter-san’s yuuuuuge arigato gozaimasu around 2:35!
Sorry Peter-san, I didn’t know the Save Peter Campaign™ started that long time ago….it’s a history!
I’m not making fun of you, I just noticed that it was so funny. Hope you don’t mind sharing.
You know I’m yuuuge fan of Jppod!
With Love~~~

A bit off topic, but as soon as I heard the verb 引っ繰り返す I remembered a rather cute animation I recently watched which had that verb right near the beginning.

Now they wanted me to sell my iSight.
Thursday at 1:55 pm
May I ask about the Bonus Audio. What exactly happened there?
I didn’t understand it.

お寿司がすきです。今、手で食べ方が分かります。でも後で手を洗いますね。レスタランで難しいですか。お箸で食べませんか。

Vicky-san,
, so I know how you feel. Partly it’s the vocabulary. I’m also a bit unsure about how some of the more complex sentence structures go together. i.e. when you need to use a normaliser and when you can use a subclause and follow it directly with ‘wa’ and carry on with the main clause. Some of these points were covered in earlier lessons, so it’s time for some revision.
I have to keep going back to review lessons too
So why do they want you to sell your iSight? Is it that they want one & can’t be bothered to order it. Or is it that they want to keep your lovely face all to themselves?
Thursday at 7:00 pm
A pair of questions:
In one of Doraemon’s stories, Gineo says:
“ほしいものは手入れるのが、おれのやりかたさ。”
(I get whatever I want. That’s just my way.)
Is the ‘kata’ from ‘yari kata’ the same ‘kata’ as we had today? You don’t get all the kanji in doraemon.
Also, Gineo also uses the verb ‘入る(はいる)’ It’s quite confusing…
Every lesson we get ‘ピータさんの英語が入ります’ and today we got ‘いいねた入ていますか。’
So is 入る used for many other things? Or is it a different verb?
くれ!
Thursday at 11:32 pm
Ah Alan-san, thank you so much for your tip. They want to sell my iSight since MacBook comes with built in iSight that they don’t think I need to have 2 webcam. Also I order extra iPod video and sold to a good price so they are hoping to get from me with reasonabl price.
I will keep both iSight. This weekend we will try skype video again, maybe in bed????

“Also, Gineo also uses the verb ‘入る(はいる)’ It’s quite confusing…”
Friday at 8:10 am
Doumo!
What about “pi-ta san no eigo ga hairimasu” or “ii neta haite imasuka”
Same verb?
Friday at 10:43 am

Friday at 3:55 pm
Yes.
Friday at 3:56 pm
But 入[はい]る is a class 1 verb, so that would be 入っています
Friday at 4:22 pm
すみません、お寿司の食べ方を教えてくれませんか。はい、お醤油をこの皿に入れて、お箸で取って、引っくり返して、ねたをお醤油に付けて食べます。違う、本当の寿司の食べ方は手で食べるんだよ、へー、そうなんですか。全く、最近の若いもんは分かってないな。ま、いいか。勝手に食え。
また、明日。
