The floor system is the same in CHina. The floor on the ground is the first floor, the floor above it is the second floor. There is no ‘ground’(と言う) floor.

Again we have “yuge” as it they “make a yuge mess” at the 7:47 mark.
Also we heard that using かい as 回 is the “popular” way to use かい。However, it’s not that 回 is better liked than 階. In this case the phrase “commonly-used” or “widely-used” would be better. Yet another point covered in my “Common Problems in Speaking” class for Japanese students of English.
