Learn Japanese with JapanesePod101.com! Today we continue our series of lessons introducing Japanese verbs of giving and receiving! Yamamori-san and Maehara-san planned to meet in Shinagawa, but it seems that Maehara-san is pulling a long day at the kaisha. Yamamori-san to the rescue! Or not? Today we introduce using ageru with the te-form of Japanese verbs to express doing something for someone. Be sure to tune in, and then come by JapanesePod101.com to leave a post!

Mina-san,
Today’s location is ダカール・Dakār. Hello to all of our listeners in Dakar, Senegal!
Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
Hmm… “almost helpful”. As in, “not helpful”, but close to being helpful? I guess I’ll have to find out in the morning.
Good day
I had a bit of spare time so I made a wallpaper for Jpod101 (1024*768px). Check it out
JockZon-san
moichidou yukuri onegai shimasu.
the jPodders motto!
A reference to current board postings. ? I always thought the podcasts were recorded in blocks. mmm can I spot the join?
As always, when you catch up with this lesson, try a sentence –>
http://www.japanesepod101.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=473
Any chance of an example of Pitfall 2 in the pdf? intransitiveVte + ageru (bad)
Hmm, I looked around and found those two on different sites but yukkuri is definite? Then I have to change it
っ small tsu strikes again っ
It is yukkuri, I missed that myself
Nice, JockZon-san, but the kanji for mou ichido should be 一度、 not 一同
(いちど not いちどう).
Jonas
Tack än en gång Jonas

Je ne sais pas quelle langue vous des types parlez là mais je serai heureux si n’importe qui me disent ! svp voix pour JP101 ok! S_R_C
I think Dakarians also speak alot of spanish and portuguese as well. I like Senegalese music, and can pick up alot of what they say with my broken spanish.
Anyone heard from Our Vickyちゃん?
I’m a little worried with all the flooding there, and she isn’t hounding us for votes today and not available in the usual places.
Jockzonさん, nice work!
Danielさん,
Last time I talked to her was yesterday evening. But I see activity on mixi, so I think she’s okay.
For now, I’ll pick up the duty with the voting request.

Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
私もちょっと心配です。I mean if Vickyちゃん is at home because she told me she was trapped, then she would have surfed the internet from home but, maybe there is a power cut. Oh well.
It was really a good idea to teach us how to say when you give someone something
Wow, Our Vickyちゃん went a whole day without saying “Vote kudasai…blah blah blah…”
Has she been taken over by the Borg…uh, I mean, Mixi?
JockZon-san, thanks for the thinking of us and for the great wallpaper!
Apologies for the late reply, but we’re working on a big surprise.
We know you guys like surprises.
HI GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I missed you so much!!!!! I’m so sorry I haven’t replied in a while ;___; !!! I was in the hospital for a very long time… I had an accident at school and it took a few months to recover… But I’m all better now =) !!!!
I’m trying to catch up with all the episodes, it’ll be intensive listening but I love listening to your shows so it won’t be a problem ^___^ !!!
See you!!!!!!!
Gevorg~
Gevorg-san, 久々(ひさびさ・hisabisa - extremely informal!)Is everything alright? It is great to hear from you! Welcome back!
Gevorg-san,
Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your accident. だいじょうぶですか?
Peter-san,
Hi! I know what the surprise is!
I’m 99 and 7/8% sure of it! I just listened to the news from Saturday and I heard you mention Belton-san!
WHAT I missed my moment of net fame!!
I should listen to more than just the Beginner Lessons so.
Oh the embarrassment
Gevorg-san お帰りなさい (and はじめまして)
Liz-san… stop letting the cat out of the bag!
Ah, Belton-san… you need to listen to the news at least! That was your 15 minutes!
ちがいます I timed it, I’m due another 14:25 at least ![]()
I can’t wait to find out what it is!?!
Sorry, I’m such a blabber-mouth!
I was just so excited about the surprise.
On today’s episode Yamamori-san said, “30 pun go ni tsukimasu”. My question is: What does “go” mean here? I thought this meant 35?
Hi Lizさん、
“Go” in this case is not “five” but “later/after”.
(30分後 ) not (30分5)
I stayed in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel and walked around the area! Very fancy hotel! It’s definitely a cool place to hang out and very close to the subway/trains.
