JapanesePod101 vs. Duolingo

I came across this site last year with a passion to learn Japanese from the scratch. I was a little bit unsure about learning language online. I thought that something like this could be waste of money, but I was wrong. The price was great! I started out with basic subscription which is good if you're a beginner. The learning material was fun and easy to understand, especially the audio lessons. I'm not a native english speaker at all, so I thought it might be tough to go through each lessons, but I was surprised again. The teachers are interesting to listen to, and they could make me laugh even in the learning process. But still learn everything! Thank you Japanesepod101! You've helped me to take a big step further to japan! The prices are good, the learning process is fun, so I can definitely recommend this site to other language learning enthusiasts :-D

JapanesePod101 is absolute amazing! I have learned more in 3 months of studying the Japanese Word of the Day than I have in 1 semester of Japanese taught at a college level. I like how each word/sentence is illustrated in hiragana, and romaji and most importantly, kanji. It make learning Japanese less intimidating and more fun! JapanesePod101 provides an entire package to acquiring language success; both auditory and visual aspects of language are easily met to improve ones ability in learning a new language. Everything about JapanesePod101 is spot on and effective. I give JapanesePod101 full credit for my success in learning Japanese!!!!

I absolutely love the lessons available with JapanesePod101.com. The podcasts are informative, engaging, and have excellent sound quality. The videos available online and as video podcasts are of equally excellent quality and compress a lot of information into accessible chunks. The quizzes and notecards are great for testing how much you've retained. I'm so glad I got the premium membership, and recommend it to all!
