Hi umesh,

Thank you for the comment!

"banana o suki da" makes sense, but "banana ga suki da" is more natural.

The particle "ga" emphasizes a subject and "banana ga suki da" sounds like monkeys prefer bananas to other food.

Keep studying with JapanesePod101.com

Saru wa banana ga suki da.

Monkeys like bananas.

Instead of banana ga suki da, why not banana o suki da?

thanks in advance!

Konnichiwa.

It should be ima boku wa ongaku o kiki nagara benkyou shiteimasu which means while I am listening to the music, I study.

Or the other way around, ima boku wa benkyou shinagara ongaku o kiiteimasu.

The functions of Japanese โ€˜toโ€™ and English โ€˜andโ€™are not same.

โ€˜Toโ€™must be used between nouns not between verbs or adjectives.

Sorry! Watashi DENsha otaku desu! (Note emphasis on 'den' -- ้›ป) Once again shamefully on the 'densha' you put in place picture of AMERICAN DIESEL locomotive! JR (JapanRail) is in my opinion world leader in tetsudo system. With wide array of electric rolling stock in Japan, WHY on earth picture of such has not been used but in its place American diesel locomotive? That is afront insult to the JR! (American railway are embarrassment to world)!

You can do much better than that! PLEASE try to avoid comparing embarrassing American rail system with our best system in world -- JR!

(Otherwise nice video). Thank you.
