Hi, everyone. Hi! Welcome to Kanji Time.
Today, we are going to learn N3 Kanji.

行こうぜ!(Ikō ze!)
This kanji means “fate, command, destiny, life, appoint”.
The on-reading for this kanji is メイ、ミョウ (mei, myō) like in 命令 (meirei), meaning “order or command”.
気を付け!(Ki o tsuke!) 前へ進め!(Mae e susume!)
And the kun-reading is いのち (inochi) like in 命にかかわる (inochi ni kakawaru) which means “to be a matter of life or death, crucial”.
もう、三日間も何も食べていない。(Mō, mikkakan mo nani mo tabete inai.) 今日中に見つけなくては、命にかかわる。(Kyōjū ni mitsukenakute wa, inochi ni kakawaru.)
This kanji means “harmony, Japanese style, peace, soften, Japan”.
The on-reading for this kanji is ワ、オ (wa, o) like in 平和 (heiwa), meaning “peace”.
And the kun-reading is やわ、なご (yawa, nago) like in 声を和らげる (koe o yawarageru) which means “soften one’s voice”.
こんな声よりも、こんな声の方が優しく聞こえるよね。(Konna koe yori mo, konna koe no hō ga yasashiku kikoeru yo ne.)

And the kun-reading is あきな (akina) like in 陶器を商う (tōki o akinau) which means “deal in ceramics”.
This kanji means “happy, rejoice, take pleasure in”.
The on-reading for this kanji is キ (ki) which is like in 喜劇 (kigeki), meaning “comedy”.
And the kun-reading is よろこ (yoroko) like in 大喜びする (ōyorokobi suru), meaning “to crow over, be extremely delighted”.
憧れのあの人と握手をして、大喜びする。(Akogare no ano hito to akushu o shite, ōyorokobi suru.)
