Okay, today, we are going to learn N3 kanji.

This kanji means “gender, temperament, character.”
The On-reading for this kanji is セイ, ショウ (sei, shō), like in 性別 (seibetsu), which means “the distinction of gender,” and 性格 (seikaku), which means “character, nature, disposition.”
優しい性格。 (Yasashii seikaku.)
性格の相性。 (Seikaku no aishō.)
This kanji means “fear, dread, awe, be afraid.”
The On-reading for this kanji is キョウ (kyō), like in 恐怖 (kyōfu), which means “fear.”
恐怖心と戦う。 (Kyōfushin to tatakau.)
And the Kun-reading is おそ (oso), like in 恐れる (osoreru), which means “to fear, dread.”
