This kanji means “he, that, one's boyfriend.” |
The On-reading for this kanji is ヒ (hi), like in お彼岸 (o-higan), which means “equinoctial week.” |
And the Kun-reading is かれ, かの (kare, kano), like in 彼女 (kanojo), which means “she” or “girlfriend.” |
彼氏と彼女。 (Kareshi to kanojo.) “Boyfriend and girlfriend.” |
彼、彼女。 (Kare, kanojo.) “He, she.” |
彼は彼女の彼氏です。 (Kare wa kanojo no kareshi desu.) “He is her boyfriend.” |
