My Music

Postby Jason » April 28th, 2006 6:17 pm

One of the biggest loves in my life other than computers and Japanese is music. So I'm a bit of an aspiring musician (I've been aspiring for almost 10 years now ). I've been playing guitar for nearly 10 years and composing for about 6. Even though I've had a couple of years of college music theory and am specializing in computer music for my Master's, I have a hard time considering myself a "professional" or anything like it. So I guess you could call me an amateur musician who just happens to be very serious about the fun he has.

Anyway, I've uploaded what I consider to be some of my better stuff to Audiri.com:

I've tried to arrange it so newer stuff is near the top and older at the bottom. There is one piece, my final project for the computer music class I'm taking now, that I've uploaded just yesterday, so it's still awaiting aproval. In the meantime, you can download that one from here:

Finally, you can download everything I've ever recorded with the torrent below. You should know that this includes everything including the old, the incomplete, and the just plain bad:

Comments are greatly appreciated either here or on Audiri.com. :)

Hey!
Pretty cool!
(Listening to Henkyoku)

Parts of it remind me a little of SNES music, which was great stuff.
Some of the wierder sounds give me flashbacks to Mr. Bungle's "Disco Volante" album. Also, great.

You do anything more fast paced?
Maybe you could do the music for my next one of these!

If you're up to it of course.

Listen to the stuff on audiri.com. And thanks for the feedback. ^_^ The intro of 変曲 was inspired by Chrono Cross.

[edit] I've never thought of scoring music for a video. Could be fun. ^_^

Nice and original. Liked Henkyoku, especially the second half. I tend to like unusual stuff. :D Btw, you're not the only "aspiring" musician around. I guess i'll upload some of my own creations too as soon as i get time.
