みなさん、
I am finding all these new categories on the site difficult to understand. To me a beginner at something also a Newbie which is what I would class myself as but I am past the point of self introductions. What is the difference between Beginner and Newbie?

My perception of it is that Newbie is more easier than Beginner. It wants to be more friendly with those who start now to follow JP101. There is so many Beginner lessons already... :roll:

But we'll see when there will be more Newbie lessons. For the moment, with 1, it's difficult to say how is gonna go.

The difficulty levels at the moment go:

Newbie -> Beginner/Beginner S2 -> Lower intermediate -> Intermediate

I guess Survival should fit somewhere between newbie and beginner, but I didn't include it since it's different. It's more of a crash course than the more in-depth lessons.

My impression was that Newbie was a bridge between Survival and Beginner. It is more basic than Survival at the moment, but I figured it was because they're being systematic about grammar.
