Flash cards Kanji disable

Postby jacques.gonzalez_501266 » November 4th, 2014 8:10 pm

こんばんは

Is it possible to disable Kanji in the flash cards setup?

I have "Recognition (with Kana)" enabled and was expecting Hiragana and Katakana but not Kanji.
"Recognition (with Kana and Romaji)" and "Recognition (with Romaji)" are disabled.

Ideally, being able to specify Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji separately would be welcome for absolute beginners.

Hi jacques.gonzalez,

Thank you for posting!
You can find the Kana and Romanji down of the Kanji.
We do not eliminate the Kanji completely since the actual/original word supposed to be written in Kanji :D
Please, focus in the Kana and romanji for now, and just have a quick look at the Kanji (don't get stressed, you will learn them little by little, but by looking at them you will start getting more familiar with the Japanese writing)
:picket:
Let us know if you have questions.
Sincerely,

こんにちは

Actually on some flashcards, and now more and more often, there is no kana at all down the kanji, but just kanji.
Is this still intended?
Is their some algorithm that switches to kanji only on certain cards based on ones progress?

Best regards,
Jacques
